By the horizon,
I sat.
Watching the sea,
reflecting the colours of the sky.
The water washed on the foot of the horizon hill.
Making me chill.
Oh the world is so beautiful,
blue skies and green forests.
Great plains and breath taking hills.
What happened to them,
I though.
Vanished they have,
the plains and hills,
covered with cement and construction bills.
No longer can you just sit down and listen to nature,
because when you sit and try to listen,
all you can hear is the cars roaring.
The temperatures are rising,
and glaciers melting,
and there is nothing that I can do.
Some say it's not our fault,
but I beg to differ,
we run down the forests and build tree killers.
So what can we do?
go green,
or don't care,
honestly I don't know.
